Guy spent over 35 years as an entrepreneur and manager in the private and public sectors. In 2002, he and his wife Aline executed their retirement plan by buying a 4-season cottage at Little Cedar Lake. Since then, they have been involved in the community of the Cedar lakes.

In 2009, Guy was elected to the Board of Directors of the Association for the Protection of the Cedar Lakes where, with the support of a Board of Directors and committed volunteers, he manages important environmental issues.
