Mission
The mission of the Association for the Protection of the Cedar Lakes (APLC) is to inform, raise awareness and involve the residents, users and other stakeholders, on the environmental challenges in our watershed, which affect us individually and collectively, while presenting lasting solutions and programs based on the best environmental practices. By effective, transparent stewardship, the aim is to get the most from our available resources in a manner that promotes sustainable development and respects the environment.
Vision
The community around Petit lac des Cèdres and Grand lac des Cèdres is ecology-minded! Respect for and the protection of our watershed is a priority in our individual and collective decision-making. We aim to:
- mobilize our members, other users and local partners in order to protect and manage our environment, which includes the natural resources and the quality of the water in our watershed, in a responsible manner;
- increase our leadership in the creation of exemplary sustainable environmental solutions and practices;
- encourage the involvement of our members in various initiatives that enhance the collective heritage of our two lakes;
- be an example, as a community organization in the Gatineau valley, through our involvement and the effectiveness of our environmental activities;
- manage our activities based on our financial resources
