Research project on fauna with Ministry of Forests, Fauna and Parks and Laval University

Monitoring wildlife activities and changes to the environment provides some of the information needed to inform our actions.

The presence of lake trout in the Cedar lakes is a sign of oxygen sufficiency, and this information, coupled with other information, is essential. Following the taking of samples (fins and heads) in 2014 in Cedar Lake by fishermen volunteers recruited by the Association, the Ministry of Forests, Fauna and Parks, in concert with Laval University and the University of Quebec at Chicoutimi, undertook assessments of the catchability and way of life of lake trout.
