On July 28, 2018, a Shore Lunch fundraising dinner was held in the Messines municipal hall. Approximately 154 guests attended, mostly residents of our two lakes. People enjoyed outdoor games, musical entertainment, an on-site bar, door prizes and a 50/50 draw. A meal of pickerel, pork jowl, onion rings and fries was cooked and served by the executive of the Association and their spouses. This event helped achieve the fundraising objectives, which were to 1) assemble people from our lakes and 2) raise $ 4,160 in support of projects. The organizing committee would like to thank all the participants, volunteers and sponsors who made the event possible. Profits will be used for communication-based projects that are particularly environmentally friendly.
