Entrepreneur and manager in both the private and public sectors, Guy, and his wife Aline, laid the groundwork for their retirement in 2002 by acquiring a four-season cottage on Petit lac des Cèdres. Ever since, they have actively participated in the Cedar Lakes community.

In 2009, Guy was elected to the board of directors of the Association for the Protection of the Cedar Lakes. With the backing of a dedicated board of directors and skilled volunteers, he effectively managed challenging projects concerning the environment.
